中村馨章

中村は2015年に東京藝術大学日本画博士後期課程、2020年には米国メリーランド・インステチュート・カレッジ・オブ・アートの大学院を修了した。中村は人々の間に存在する聴覚と視覚に関わる音とコミュニケーションにおける接点や限界を探求し、初期の日本画から、自己と他者の間を隔てている境界線を無意識に暗示させてきた。この世界は聴覚障碍者としての静かな世界の様相を反映している。
また2012年12月より右耳に人工内耳を装用したことにより、音声、視覚、および時間の知覚には大きな変化があり、現在の作品の色彩と空間感覚、また言語感覚、コミュニケーションにおいて強い影響を与えている。
