ジャン・ミャオ
1981年中国吉林省に生まれたジャン・ミャオは、2005年北京の中央美術学院を卒業、2009年に修士課程を修了（木版画専攻）。幼いころから古代文明と英知に関心をもつ。2003年からは陰と陽・点と線・エネルギーと生命、の解釈に傾倒しつつ「自然と人間の合一」という東洋の世界観を形成する。近年は、生命に関するテーマで創作活動をおこなう。東洋哲学の「八掛」、魂を象徴する「螺旋」、ヴィジュアルの主力としてのエネルギーを開放する「色彩」を適用することにより、彼女の作品群は精神と魂、肉体の生命と真実を示唆している。不可視のものからエネルギーを吸収し、霊的なエネルギーと磁場を物質の世界へと解放しながら、物質化され、混迷を極める現在の世界へ文明社会の未来へ対する継続的思考を投げかける。中国語圏でのギャラリー、美術館展示多数。2020年ホワイトストーンギャラリー銀座新館にて日本初の個展を開催、好評を博す。
