CLASUTTA
Clasutta, also known by a shorter mononym Sutta, laid her cornerstone as an architect before rebuilding her professional path as a full time artist. Based in Jakarta, she developed her artistic journey through the artist incubation program, AMP – Atreyu Moniaga Project #12 (2024), where she served as both participating artist and project leader of the batch.
Inspired by her past working experiences in the rat race and her current, post-corporate life, Sutta turns her daily observations into whimsy characters and comedic stories. Working primarily with oil on canvas, her colorful paintings visualize the artist’s satirical wit. A fiery spirit through-and-through, Sutta’s art is her way to pass on the flaming torch across a bigger crowd, where she dares us to question life’s bigger purpose, grow some courage, and laugh along the way as we push through our miseries.
