Taking a new step beyond a half-century
October 24, 2017
First of all, we would like to extend our gratitude for your continued health. We are now opening a new gallery space in Ginza which is the cornerstone of Whitestone Gallery in Japan. For a half century from the foundation in 1967, we have been participating in art fairs around the world, in order to introduce Japanese avant-garde and contemporary art, internationally. In addition to that, we opened Karuizawa New Art Museum in 2012, galleries in Hong Kong in 2015 and Taiwan in 2017. With those creative spaces supervised by architect Kengo Kuma, we have led the art scene until today.
In the spring of 2018, we will integrate two of our current Hong Kong branches into one large gallery space located in H Queen’s, which is one of the world’s leading gallery buildings. As a result, we are going to take a new step as worldwide leading gallery both in name and reality.
At the new gallery space in Ginza to mark the 50th anniversary of our foundation, we will have an opening exhibition of Miwa Komatsu, one of the most promising young artists today. We sincerely look forward to your visit.
