Luminous Flux
北京
2025.05.20 - 06.28
Whitestone Gallery Beijing is honored to present Luminous Flux group exhibition of Chinese and Japanese artists from May 20 to June 28, 2025. This exhibition brings together ten distinguished artists from China and Japan: Chiyu Uemae, Sadamasa Motonaga, Kazuo Shiraga, Yasuo Sumi, Atsuko Tanaka, Tsuyoshi Maekawa from Japan; Bao Pei, Yu Li, Jiang Miao and Wu Shuang from China. They transcended eras and borders, transforming color into tendrils of emotion and shaping imagery as an extension of thought through various media under different historical conditions.
Artists engage in distinctive artistic experiments in their own ways, continuously breaking through conventional forms, rendering color both effervescent and lucid. Through restrained yet profound expressions, they infuse personal experience and Eastern aesthetics into their imagery, revealing a spiritual world that is both deep and full of tension.
Color is the boundary of emotion, the language of consciousness, and the echo of time's sedimentation. ‘Luminous’ refers to the fluidity and exuberance of form, as well as the overflow of emotion and thought, ‘Flux’ is an exploration that flows back along time, paying tribute to creativity.
The artists, guided by color, trace the flowing brilliance, revisiting the inspiration that blooms silently in the stillness.
