Miwa Komatsu at Koyasan
Nestled in Wakayama Prefecture, Koyasan holds sacred significance as a site of Shingon esoteric Buddhism, established by Kukai (Kobo Daishi) during the Heian period (794-1185). It remains a cornerstone of Japanese Buddhism, adorned with numerous temples. Celebrating a 1,250th anniversary of Kukai's birth, Miwa Komatsu live painted at the revered mountain that's steeped in ancient tradition on March 21st.
Experience the ethereal world of Miwa Komatsu at Whitestone Gallery Taipei’s latest solo exhibition, ‘𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀’ from March 2 to April 20.
