Ahhi Choi
Born in Hyogo-prefecture in 1983. The evaluation of Choi has increased ever since his exhibit in New York in 2014, and this triggered him to be active internationally. Choi, who was passionate about skateboarding during his teenage years, produces unique abstract paintings that somehow enable us to feel graffiti art. The artist traces his deep impression to his paintings to what he felt from several phenomena, like from mother nature, and simply follows the inspiration he learned from skateboarding in terms of its free style. He also receives high praise as a shoe designer and displays his artistic talent in various fields. In this exhibition, circa 20 works from his recent productions will be shown.
