This exhibition will feature the works of representative artists from the history of postwar avant-garde art in Japan, which compose a core part of our gallery collection, according to trends and themes. By tracing the passion of the great artists, reflected in their challenging and innovative works, the exhibition will unveil the continuous history of Japanese contemporary art until now.
The exhibition will pick up and display the avant-garde works from ‘Japanese postwar contemporary art that is re-evaluated in the world right now’ like Gutai, Mono-ha, and High-Red-Center.
