REPORT

The 32nd edition of Art Taipei was held from October 24 to 27, 2025, at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1, under the theme “Intersect: Diversity Equals Togetherness”. Bringing together 120 galleries from six countries and regions, the fair featured a vibrant mix of exhibitors, with more than half representing Taiwan’s local art scene alongside several internationally renowned galleries. As one of Asia’s longest-running art fairs, Art Taipei continues to serve as a vital platform for cross-regional artistic exchange. In conjunction with Taipei Art Week, it also connected museum and gallery exhibitions across the city. This year’s International Forum gathered leading figures from the Guggenheim Museum, Tai Kwun (Hong Kong), and the Royal Academy of Art (The Hague) to discuss Asia’s growing role and influence in the global art landscape.

Throughout the art fair, Whitestone Gallery’s booth drew a strong turnout from collectors and visitors alike. Highlights included Shinoda’s lyrical abstractions in ink, Kusama’s iconic infinity dots, Maekawa’s tactile explorations of materiality, Komatsu’s divine beasts, Tsai’s emotionally resonant text works, and Colbert’s witty Pop narratives, all underscoring the diversity of contemporary artistic expression. On the opening afternoon, the gallery hosted a collaborative Philip Colbert × Johnnie Walker whisky-tasting event , adding a lively note to the SVIP preview in the booth. Distinguished guests including Taipei City’s Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tsai Shih-Ping and his spouse, Ms. Tseng Hsin-Ying, spouse of Foxconn founder Terry Gou, and Ms. Jia Yongjie, director of Taipei 101, visited the booth, where the atmosphere remained vibrant throughout the fair. Notably, K. Tsai CAI’s works sold out on the first day, prompting a refreshed display the following morning that continued to draw widespread media attention.
