LIN Chin-Yi was born in 1957 and grew up in Dihua Street in Taipei. His family once ran, “Ri Mao Hang,” the largest trading company in Quanjiao Assembly Hall in the Qing Dynasty. However, the siltation of the harbor put the family business in straitened circumstances. From an early age, LIN believed that as long as he worked hard enough, he would have the opportunity to turn his life around. Graduated from China Medical University Hospital and became a specialist doctor. He established his first hospital in a small alley within Yongkang District in Taiwan in 1994. In 2015, he started to incorporate medical professions with art collecting and established the first art hospital in Aisa, Jin-Sin Women and Children’s Hospital.

As an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, LIN sees delivering children as his life-long career. Although he always has a busy schedule, he still brims with energy and vitality. Working in an environment with extreme pressure, art collecting has become a way for him to release stress. Through the affection for art collecting, he began his creative journey. He unveiled another path of life via photography, poems, and paintings.

The inspiration of LIN’ s painting comes from expecting new lives with pregnant mothers. This allows him to have a deeper understanding of life. He presents passionate colors from the depth of his soul. Letting bright and warm acrylic colors, red, orange, and yellow, flow organically on every corner of the canvas. Showing the symbol of abundant exuberance. On top of that, his humorous personality also allows his works to reveal witty and childlike imaginations. Some of them can even be viewed at all 360 degrees. He hopes to awaken the inner child of each viewer’s heart.

“I hope my painting could shine a light in the darkest corner in the house.” Without the limit of professional art training, LIN paints what his heart desires. He reflects his most genuine self through his creative journey. Transforming the hands that deliver children to the hands that paint. LIN brings that warming strength and grants courage upon all the difficulties that come across in life.
