On March 27 and 28, 2026, an art-inspired flower arrangement workshop was held at "Chamber (10F)" in K11 ARTUS, located in Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀), Hong Kong.

The event was held in celebration of the residency of LEE Chae — a Seoul-born painter represented by Whitestone Gallery — who was invited as the first international artist to participate in K11 ARTUS's "Artist in Residence" program. It also coincided with Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Central, both held in Hong Kong during the same week.

Each session was kept intimate, with just eight participants per sitting. Surrounded by LEE Chae's works and with the artist present in person, attendees enjoyed conversation while arranging flowers — immersing themselves in a richly layered and luxurious experience at the intersection of contemporary art and the living energy of flowers.

Our Artist in Residence programme brought Seoul painter LEE Chae to K11 ARTUS, where his residency culminated in Wind Trace ── a work inspired by his time, observations, and lived experience within our space. This was followed by the exclusive art-&-fiori collaboration with Armani/Fiori Hong Kong, hosted in partnership with Whitestone Hong Kong, blending emerging contemporary art, luxury floristry, and mindfulness into an intimate experience for our community.

What I find most compelling about working with Whitestone Hong Kong is the alignment in philosophy. Both brands approach their craft with deep attention to detail and genuine respect for the artists behind the work. For K11 ARTUS ── a private space built on the careful contemplation of an inspired life── this kind of unique partnership feels both intentional and authentic.

LEE Chae: A Place of Special Synergy Where Art and Nature Meet

" Through this special collaboration with Armani/Fiori Hong Kong, my layered oils on canvas harmonised with Gary's woven flowers and branches, allowing us to express nature in our own ways, yet with the same rhythms of simplicity. It was a moment to cherish ── a unique synergy where art and nature met, blending the abstract botanical expressions with the vivid presence of living blooms.

This co-creation filled the K11 ARTUS private space with a lingering, natural fragrance that gently engaged the senses and mindfulness. The verdant scent of the floristry intertwined with the vitality I seek to capture on canvas, transforming the space from just an event venue into a living garden. Within this little 'secret garden', we gathered with flowers in our hands, reflecting on their individual forms and lengths ── exchanging stems and stories, and weaving together our collective experiences.

This experience stirred something within us ── reawakening emotions often grow quiet in the rhythm of daily life. Even without a shared language, I felt a profound connection through the universal medium of plants. In a world that rushes by so breathlessly, if you found yourself facing your true emotions while carefully arranging these blue blooms, that made our time together truly meaningful.

Thanks to K11 ARTUS, Armani/Fiori Hong Kong, and everyone who shared their heart with us during the event, my canvas is now filled with even more vibrant colours and warmth. "

“ This exclusive collaboration marks a bold venture for Armani/Fiori Hong Kong and me, as it is my first partnership with an artist to merge luxury floristry and emerging contemporary art. Traditionally seen as a standalone craft, floristry now intertwines with other artistic expression, transcending conventional boundaries.

Co-creating floristry that embodies the essence of both Seoul artist LEE Chae and Armani/Fiori Hong Kong extended beyond aesthetics; it was a deep exploration of how our disciplines enhance one another. We aimed to capture our philosophies — infused with emotion, mindfulness, and appreciation for simplicity of nature — into a living floral narrative that resonates on multiple levels.

This initiative also allowed us to engage the special community and share inspiration through our interaction that encouraged creativity. Everyone drew from their surroundings and inner thoughts to craft unique floristry that told their personal stories.
