Whitestone New Ginza Gallery is pleased to present “Portraits in Bloom” featuring works by Sachiko Kamiki and Huang Pin Tong.

Through the fusion of human figures and plants, the two artists explore the emergence of life’s energy and the blossoming of inner emotions from their own unique perspectives.

Kamiki distorts realism within compositions where flowers, trees, and human figures coexist as equals. By doing so, she brings to light the subtle unease and mystery that lie beneath beauty. The charming yet mysterious atmosphere of her works quietly stirs the viewer’s sensibility.

Huang, on the other hand, delicately expresses positive emotions such as hope, joy, and warmth through symbols of purity and vitality, such as babies and succulents. Like the countless seeds hidden within a dragon fruit, her works are imbued with a sense of abundance and infinite potential for the future.

Together, their works form true “portraits of life,” born from the merging of humanity and nature. They invite us to rediscover emotions long forgotten and the quiet beauty that resides in each fleeting moment of life.

Cuteness meets unease, purity blends with mystery, and growth intertwines with hope, providing a moment of quiet awakening taking root in the heart.

We sincerely look forward to your visit.
