AIO ART: “Fu”
Form born in the wavering of water and wind
Karuizawa Gallery 2, 3
2025.04.26 - 06.01
Within the water, all is silent.
Ever since I was a child, it’s been where my heart could breathe.
Moving my arms and legs like a fish, I would forget I was even human.
A world unfolded where words were never needed.

Water wavers. When I swim, ripples form, and I am swayed in return. Wind brushes the surface gently from the outside just like how meeting someone can gently stir the stillness inside. This wavering at times gentle, at times intense shifts in form as it flows.

Fu is wind.
Fu is wavering.
Fu is a tremble in the heart.
Water has no shape of its own, but reveals itself through the wind.
Emotions take shape and begin to shift gently awakened by the presence of another.
A wavering born within, and a wavering stirred by the wind of another.
To waver. To be touched.
There is Fu.
A soothing stillness.
Longing, carried softly in the breath of spring.

The word Fu holds within it the essence of all that flows, that shifts, and that connects.
This exhibition traces the intricate relationship between water and wind revealing how formless things come into being, transform, and quietly fade away.
I hope the silence carries a gentle wavering and that it quietly lingers in your heart.
