木梨AINE原本的目标是成为音乐家,AINE一字来源自奥地利音乐家莫扎特的著名作品〈G 大调第13号小夜曲〉标题中第一个单词的德语发音;但于就读大阪音乐学院(现·大阪音乐大学)期间将其音乐生涯转换成绘画。并于1950年代与坂本昌也创立「DETAL」,随后创立了「Tempo」,当时在日本正由于抽象表现主义引起不定形艺术的旋风及反艺术的运动,木梨也开始着手创作抽象画。

其中,以混合金属粉末的油彩创作的「蓝色绘画」系列,成了木梨的代名词。这一系列以手指创作的画作,形成其轨迹的材质奏出和缓的旋律,深蓝的主色持续发出低响。相较于康丁斯基将音乐成形于绘画中,木梨则试图将演奏行为本身以物质保留,创造出绘画与音乐的新次元真实感。

BIOGRAPHY

1929
Born in Tokyo. (His real name is Yoshihiko Shioya)
1946
Entered the Osaka School of Music (Presently, Osaka College of Music)
1951
Studied at the Osaka Municipal Institute of Art.
1953
Received the 6th Sozo Bijyutsu Award (Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts) and was invited to become a member of the Sozo Bijyutsu Association.
1955
Received the Ashiya City Art Association Award at the 8th Ashiya City Art Exhibition (in a Hall of the Seido elementary school, Hyogo).
Exhibited at the 3rd Gendai Bijutsu Kondan Kai (Contemporary Art Discussion Group, known as "Genbi") Award (Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art /Asahi building Hall, Kobe / Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts).
Exhibited work at the 40th Nika Group Exhibition. Two of his works were nominated for an award. Repeatedly presented his work there until 1957.
1956
Participated in the Outdoor Gutai Art Exhibition (held in Ashiya park, Hyogo)
1957
Assisted in the formation of the Group DELTA with Masaya Sakamoto and others, remained involved until the group's dissolution in 1961. (They held 16 exhibitions between 1957 and 1961with a strong creative motivation.)
1959
Participated in the 19th Gutai Art Exhibition Received an Honorable Mention at the Bijyutsu Bunka Art Association Exhibition
1960
Became an associate member of the Bijyutsu Bunka Art Association Exhibition
1961
Exhibited work at the 5th Asahi Shinjinten (Asahi Exhibition for new talent)in Kyoto and Osaka Takashimaya.
Solo Exhibition at the Doutonbori Gallery (Osaka, Japan).
1962
Exhibited work at the 6th Asahi Shinjinten (Asahi Exhibition for new talent). Exhibited work at the Mainichi Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition.
Exhibited work at the 6thKyoto Independent Exhibition.( Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, Repeatedly presented work thereafter).
Assisted in the formation of the group Tempo, a group consisting of abstract painters with Yasuo Ihara, Masaya Sakamoto, Hirokazu Moriguchi and others. Presented their works at Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art. (The group's dissolution in 1963).
